Woman Who continues to feature the Woman Who Achieves Academy Members in the 12 Days of Christmas.
Each feature will include a little about the featured member and what they are promoting right now. You may even pick up a Christmas gift or two. It’s also a great opportunity to find out more about these amazing women in business.
Katy was a Finalist in the Woman Who Achieves & Solopreneur Awards 2021 and has also been interviewed in the studio.
Tell me a little about you and what you do?
I’m Katy Osborne and I am that Knock-Out Virtual Assistant that makes up KOVA Business Support.
With a background in Hospitality, I specialise in Weddings and Corporate Events, Social Media, General Admin Support. I have always loved helping people as it is such a rewarding feeling. Whether it be my voluntary work within my local community where we help the elderly and vulnerable or connecting two people who could be mutually beneficial to one another, it makes me happy to know that I could have made just that little bit of difference to someone.
What has been your stand-out moment of 2021?
2021 has been a roller-coaster of a year where I have managed to navigate getting through my first year of self-employment.
My first stand-out moment of the year was 3 months in. After having to take a mortgage break, I came out the other side having started my business and matched my corporate salary, so I was financially secure.
My second stand-out moment was within 8 months of trading, I was nominated for start-up business in the Woman Who Achieves Awards and then shortlisted as a finalist before reaching my one-year milestone. I may not have won the final award but I still felt like a winner. Being surrounded by other inspiring women and the support that has been given in the Academy has been invaluable.
What or who would you like to see under your Christmas Tree this year?
Stationery! I love new stationery. You can’t go wrong with getting me stationery and it’s so useful!
What are you promoting right now?
I started my business during a global pandemic when live face-to-face Events were non-existent. Now that the restrictions have relaxed, I am able to offer my Event planning services. This ranges from weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, and corporate events. The festive season is the most popular time for engagements, and I have some top tips for achieving the stress-free wedding of your dreams. It’s as easy as booking a call with me here www.calendly.com/kovasupport.
What are you looking forward to most in 2022?
I’m most looking forward to planning and coordinating more events as this is where my real passion is. I’m looking forward to building my self-confidence and aim to conquer my public speaking fear with the support of other inspiring business owners.
What’s your favourite Christmas song?
Either O’Holy Night or Baby Please Come Home
